They are adjustable in the front with a buckle and in the back with lacing so you can get the right fit and proper "rotation" on the leg. Nothing worse than opening up the belt a few notches to fit over the ol' hamburger bag and the YKK side zippers end up around the back of your leg! Just ease the lacing a bit and cinch the belt back a bit and you're fine. The side zippers go down to about the top of your boots, then there is a four snap panel at the bottom. Straight, clean, simple. Why don't we line them? Well, we can if you want us to, makes more sense to do it with insulation like Thermaloft or Thinsulate, but when we have done it with a slippery poly lining people tell us that the wind pushes the bottoms of the chaps up by their knees! When it is unlined there is sufficient friction to hold the chaps over your boots and jeans. If it can slide and the wind catches it easily, up it goes! If you see some chaps for $59.99 on the net I hate to think what they might smell like when they get wet! Anyway, you are getting good value from good people here in our factory. The chaps are cut long to fit over your boots while sitting on your steel stead. If they are too long, get out the shears and cut 'em down a bit. Don't do it all at once though, cut half of what you think then try them on again. It is better to cut twice and get it right than cut once and you have the "puddle pants" variety of chaps! If you are a tall drink of water (6'1" or more) then you should order the tall size to be safe. So there you have it, black 3.0 oz. soft Navigator leather and that's about it.
